The Aloha shirt is a shirt dress style of Hawaii. Currently, the prime minister's textile exports Hawaii manufacturing industry. The shirts are printed, particularly with short sleeves, and neck. Usually have buttons, sometimes as a full buttoned shirt, and sometimes just for the chest (pullover). Aloha shirts usually have a stitch in the chest in the left pocket to make the printed pattern continuous. Aloha shirts may be worn by men or women, women aloha shirts usually have a lower limit cutting V-neck style. The bottom edge is straight, the shirt is not meant to be tucked in.
Aloha shirts exported to the continental United States and other parts are called Hawaiian shirts and often brilliantly colored with floral patterns or generic Polynesian reasons and are used as casual wear, casual.
By contrast, shirts aloha man manufactured for local Hawaiian residents are usually adorned with traditional designs of Hawaiian quilt, design covers, or simple floral color duller. Aloha shirts manufactured for local consumption are considered formal wear in business and government, and therefore are considered as equivalent to a shirt, jacket and tie (generally impractical in the warmer climate of Hawaii) on all but the most formal of settings. These shirts are often printed on the inside, giving as a result of muted color on the outside, and are called "reverse print" that is often confused with the shirt inside-out bearing.
The concept relationship of "Aloha Attire" stems from the Aloha shirt. semi-formal functions such as weddings, birthday parties and dinners are often designated as "Aloha Attire ", meaning that men wear Aloha shirts and women wear muumuu. Because Hawaii tends to be more informal, it is rarely appropriate to attend such functions in full evening dress and on the mainland, but Aloha Attire is seen as the happy medium between excessive formality and casual wear. "Aloha Friday", a tradition now common to celebrate the end of the week with the use of more casual attire on Fridays, initially arose from an effort to promote aloha shirts.

History
Quilts made from vintage fabrics aloha shirt circa 1960.
The modern Aloha shirt was designed in the early 1930s by Chinese merchant Ellery Chun of King-Smith Clothiers and Dry Goods, a store in Waikiki. Chun began sewing brightly colored shirts for tourists from old kimono fabrics he had leftover in stock. The Honolulu Newspaper rushed to coin the term Aloha shirt to describe the creation of fashion Chun. Chun registered the name. The first announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser for Chun's Aloha shirt was published on June 28, 1935. Local residents, especially surfers and tourists descended on the store and bought Chun every shirt he had. Within years, major designer labels sprung up all over Hawaii and began manufacturing and selling Aloha shirts en masse. Chains retailers in Hawaii, including those based on land, the mass can produce a unique design of the aloha shirt uniforms for employees.
Aloha Week
In 1946, the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce funded a study of aloha shirts and designs for comfortable business clothing worn during the hot summers in Hawaii. The City and County Honolulu passed a resolution allowing employees to wear sport shirts Junectober. City employees are not allowed to wear aloha shirts for business until the creation of the Aloha Week festival in 1947. The Aloha Week festival was motivated by cultural and economic concerns: First place in Ala Moana Park in October, the festival revived interest in ancient Hawaiian music, dance, sports, and traditions. Holoku There was a ball, a parade of flowers, and a festival Makahiki attended by 8,000 people. visitors attracted Economically, the weeklong event for the first time during October - traditionally a slow month for tourism - which benefitted the fashion industry in Hawaii, because it provides the mu? umu? and aloha shirts or used for celebration. Aloha Week expanded in 1974 to six islands, and was lengthened to a month. In 1991, Aloha Week was renamed Aloha Festivals.
In the end, Aloha Week had a direct impact on demand resulting from alohawear, and was responsible for supporting local clothing manufacturing: locals needed the clothing for the holidays, and soon people started wearing clothes in Hawaii in greater numbers in more than a daily basis. Hawaii fashion industry was relieved, as initially worried that popular clothing of the continental United States would eventually replace aloha clothing.
